Shipping & Delivery

The great thing about shopping at Door2DoorSofas is, we keep everything featured on this website in stock. If it's on the website, then it's in stock and ready for dispatch!

We will contact you within 24 hours after placing your order to arrange your delivery. Generally we will dispatch you items straight away.

If you live in mainland UK, you can expect your delivery within a few days.

Please include your contact telephone number with all purchases to speed up this process.

We have teamed up with large, reputable, Europe wide Pallet networks for our deliveries. We have endeavored to keep the final costs down and we do not aim to profit from delivery.

The delivery of you items will be to your door only. The delivery vehicle will be fitted with a tail lift and the driver shall bring your pallet to your door with a pallet truck. For this reason we strongly suggest you have somebody there at point of delivery to assist you in bringing the items into your home.

For insurance purposes, the driver is not obliged to help you from your doorstep. If you would like the driver to take away the empty pallet for recycling, he will be happy to do this for no charge.

Please remember it is vitally important that you inspect the goods before signing for them in good condition. The driver must wait 15 minutes for you to inspect the goods.

Please do not feel under any pressure to sign for the goods until you have properly inspected them.

If you are in any doubt or the packaging appears damaged you must sign the receipt as DAMAGED. If it is obviously damaged please inspect further to confirm this and then REFUSE the delivery.

The items will then be returned to our warehouse for inspection. If the items are damaged we will arrange a free re-delivery at your earliest convenience (stock permitting). You can call us on 0845 224 7632 if you are in doubt.

We must point out under our terms of sale: If the item/s is signed for in good condition and subsequently turn out to be damaged we are unable to make a claim against the courier. Therefore they will be unreturnable.

This is not a policy we like but unfortunately has become standard practice across the Delivery industry.

Deliveries to the extremities of the British Isles are most likely to take slightly longer.

Mainland UK and Islands abridged to the mainland only are priced at a lower rate postage.

All of the following must be charged at the higher rate postage and we will contact you if your delivery area falls outside the standard express delivery rate.

If you live overseas; we usually will be able to arrange some delivery; although we cannot guarantee we can deliver to your country. Please contact us directly for postage information. All quotations will be in GBP.

A minimum delivery charge will be applied in all circumstances.

Delivery FAQs
Q, How long will I have to wait for delivery?
A, All of our Sofas are in stock and are usually delivered within 7 days. We will contact you within 2-3 working days of placing your order to arrange your delivery date. Generally, when more than one item is ordered all items will be delivered at the same time. Note: Your order will only be dispatched when every item is available. This means that the expected delivery date will be that of the longest lead-time item.
Q, Where do you deliver?
A, We can deliver to anywhere in Europe! We mainly deliver to the U.K. and Republic of Ireland but we are pleased to be part of Europe’s largest Pallet Network. Contact us for prices outside of the U.K.
Q, How much do you charge for Sofa or Suite delivery?
A, Standard, express delivery is £79 unless you live outside mainland England, Scotland and Wales. For more delivery prices see here
Q, What days do you deliver?
A, Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm excluding Bank Holidays.
Q, Can I request a specific delivery date and time?
A, Yes, it may be possible to request a specific date or time for your delivery. There is an extra charge for this service usually. If you have any concerns about your delivery time, contact us or call our customer services on 0845 224 7632
Q, Will I need to stay at home all day to take delivery?
A, It may be possible to advise you whether it will be an AM or PM slot on the day of your delivery. We can however give you a courtesy call 1 hour before delivery to make sure you are home. Any missed deliveries will be charged a £70 fee.
Q, What if I miss my delivery?
A, Your items will be returned to our warehouse within 48 hours and a £70 failed delivery fee will be payable before we can re-arrange delivery, or £140 will be deducted from a refund if that is what you choose to do.
Q, What happens if the items I have ordered do not fit through my door?
A, Returns as a result of failing to gain access will incur a £70 failed delivery fee. We strongly advise you to check all measurements and access before ordering. If you are in any doubt please contact us .
Q, Do you assemble the furniture?
A, No, the delivery is to you door only. The drivers are not insured to enter your household. You will be responsible for disposing of the original packaging.
Q, Can you dispose of my old furniture?
A, No, however you can contact your local council or furniture recyclers to arrange a collection.

Q How do I place an order?
A, You can place orders online using this Web site, by phone, you can call us on 0845 224 7632 between 9am – 6pm Mon-Fri and 10am-4pm Sat to speak to a sales advisor, or you can write to us with your order. If you would prefer us to call you back at a specific time email us and leave your details.

Q Do you have a showroom?

A, Not strictly speaking, but we do have some items available for you to view if you would like to check the quality of our products before you purchase. Many people can’t believe that they are getting the same quality of goods as the larger department stores! We typically have 5-10 different Sofa styles on display.

Q Can I collect my furniture from you?

A, Yes you can collect by prior appointment from us. Collection is available between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays. Call us on 0845 244 7632 to arrange your collection.

Q If I return an item will I get a full refund?

A, You can return any item up to 7 days after delivery. The items must be in their original packaging and in a perfect and saleable condition. Your refund will be processed after all items have been inspected back at our warehouse and we will deduct the £70 collection charge. Note: Any items that are returned without their original packaging, or not in a perfect or saleable condition, will not be refunded and you will be asked to collect from our warehouse.

Q Do your items come with any kind of Guarantee?

A, Most of the parts we supply carry a specified manufacturer’s warranty of varying terms. If you do have a problem please advise us by email in the first instance. We then may arrange a collection of the item for the return to the manufacturer for their evaluation. Their decision is final. Items which are as specified and not defective will be subsequently returned to you and an appropriate carriage charge will be made to yourself. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Q Do you have a brochure you can send me?

A, No, we prefer not to mail out any brochures. We would instead prefer you to sign up for our Newsletter to let you know of Special Offers and New Product lines. In the interests of the Environment we also try to operate a “Paper free” office. Your goods invoices will only be sent on request or you can print them off your website order confirmation.

Payment Methods and Ordering
We accept all of the regular payments including: All credit and debit cards except American Express. You can also pay with Paypal, Cash, BACS or by cheque. Cheques payable to Door2DoorSofas please. All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current new rates and are correct at the time of entering the information into the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery. To purchase products on this Website you must: Register by providing your real name, phone number, e-mail address, payment details and other requested information. Please note that PO box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses can not be accepted as delivery addresses.
Price Promise
Price Promise Door 2 Door Sofas leather sofa range offers excellent value for money and we endeavor to make sure our prices are the lowest you will find either on the internet or in retail outlets. Most of our Sofas are exclusive to us but if you do find the same leather sofa, reclining suite, corner sofa or any other item cheaper elsewhere then we will be happy to match the price providing, the following conditions are met. • The two items must be exactly the same. • The price must include VAT and other charges e.g. delivery. • The item must be new and not ex display, end of line or returned stock. • The item must be at standard price and not in a sale or on special offer • You must provide information on the vendor to enable us to verify the price. • The alternative item must currently be available. • Price Promise only applies to goods available in the UK. Returns & Replacements
You can let us know within 7 days of receipt that you wish to return your item/s. In this instance a collection will be arranged for the item/s to be returned to our warehouse. Items must be returned are in their original packaging and in a perfect and saleable condition. You will then be refunded minus the £70 collection charge within 30 days. Items returned to us without their original packaging or not in a perfect and saleable condition will not be refunded and you will be asked to collect from a designated warehouse. To avoid items being returned you must check there is suitable access to your delivery address and that we can deliver your leather sofas. This includes access and parking for a large delivery vehicle. Any refunds due to access and/or size issues will have a £70 failed delivery fee deducted. We will only attempt collection twice, both incurring a collection fee. After this we will not try again and you will no longer be entitled to a refund.

We regard your privacy as very important. Most importantly, the personal data that we collect from you via this website will NOT be passed to any organization, ever. Any personal information that you provide to us via this website will be dealt with in accordance with our privacy policy. We will ensure all personal information supplied to us is held securely and ensure that any information will be held only as long as is necessary to ensure our service runs smoothly. We use up to date industry procedures to keep personal data as safe and secure as possible against loss, unauthorised disclosure or access. When you use this website to buy products we will only collect the information you give us in order to enable us to process the transaction and fulfill your order, quickly and efficiently. We may from time to time use your information to provide you with an update our new products. This will be via email. When we collect personal data from you via this website, you will be given the opportunity to opt out of receiving information and updates from us about our new products by email. You must confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used belongs to you. All credit or debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. In most instances, delivery is only permitted to the card holder adress. A signature is required on receipt of the goods. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure but, in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website. We may edit or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will notify you by posting a prominent notice on the Home page of our website.
 
Terms & Conditions
Please read all of the following thoroughly. It ensures that both of us do not get a raw deal and covers any legal matters that either us, (the seller), or you (the buyer) might have to go through.

RETURN OF ITEMS

Not to your liking: - Notification must be received within 7 days of receipt of items; failure to do so means that we will not usually be able to accept any returns. If the item you have received is not as you expected it may be returned (in as new condition) for credit, exchange or refund. Carriage for returning items will be paid by the customer. After the obligatory 7 Day Distant Selling cooling off period, returns will be at our discretion. All refunds for this reason will be subject to a restocking charge of 25%. Carriage is not usually refundable. Items which have been used or modified are not acceptable for return.

DELIVERY OUTSIDE SPECIFIED DAYS

Every effort is made to ensure delivery to you within your chosen time scale, however we cannot guarantee this to be so. We are not responsible in any way what so ever for deliveries outside this period. We will however make the appropriate reduction in charge if the delivery falls outside your preferred period. A minimum delivery charge will be applied in all circumstances.

ITEMS INCORRECTLY SUPPLIED

In the unlikely event that we have sent you the incorrect part we are very sorry. Telephone or email us quoting your invoice number and we will arrange collection of the offending part and replace it as soon as possible. If you do not give us correct information and subsequently you receive an incorrect item, you will be responsible for additional carriage charges.

WARRANTY

Most of the items carry a specified manufacturer’s warranty of varying terms. If you do have a problem please advise us by email in the first instance. In some cases we will arrange for a replacement item to be sent, subject to a refundable deposit* pending return of the original item. This deposit is normally 75% of the purchase price. We cannot replace items without this 'security of return' deposit. The warranty extends only to the replacement of faulty items and does not in any circumstances extend to removal and replacing charges and consequential costs involved therein. * Subject to satisfactory warranty claim against the manufacturer. Your statutory rights are not affected. Items which are as specified and not defective will be subsequently returned to you and an appropriate carriage charge will be made to yourself.

Special Orders

If parts are ordered specifically for you then these items will be strictly non-returnable. If you are in doubt please ask.

Damaged In Transit

All of our items are wrapped carefully to ensure they are safe during transit. It is essential that you examine your delivery upon receipt before signing for it. For more detailed information please view our Delivery page.

Returning items

it is your responsibility for ensuring that items are adequately packaged for transit.

Unreturnables

Items that have been used, damaged upon return, vandalized, modified, or changed in any way, shape or form are strictly non returnable. It is your responsibility to ensure that any third party is aware of this policy and act accordingly. We cannot be held responsible if any third party make alterations to any item.
